To turn off your windshield wipers, first make sure your car is in park and the engine is off. Then locate the wiper control switch, which typically is on the left side of the steering wheel. Depending on the make and model of your car, the switch may look like a lever or a rotary dial. To turn the wipers off, move the lever or dial to the "off" position. If the wipers are stuck on, you may need to move the lever or dial back and forth several times to disengage the motor. If the wiper blades are leaving streaks on the windshield, use a glass cleaner to wipe the streaks away before turning off the wipers.
