Muscle cars from the 90s

The 90s was an interesting time for muscle cars. During this period, several iconic muscle cars made a comeback such as the Ford Mustang, Dodge Challenger and Plymouth Prowler, and the Chevrolet Camaro.

Also, American muscle car sales as a whole increased significantly during the 90s, with cars like the Pontiac Firebird, Buick Grand National, Dodge Viper and the Ford SVT Lightning becoming popular.

The 90s was also a time of great technological advancement in muscle cars. Many cars were fitted with larger displacement engines which achieved greater performance and improved fuel economy, while electronic control systems and improved transmission design allowed drivers to get more out of their cars. Many new features, like traction control, improved suspension, and better brakes, found their way into muscle car designs.

The 90s also saw a renewed interest in classic muscle cars. Many of the classic pony cars––such as the Mustang, Camaro and Firebird––were brought back and were modified for better performance. Companies like SLP Engineering, Hurst, Roush and Saleen tuned classic muscle cars to modern standards, adding increased performance, better handling, and styling upgrades.

It's safe to say that the 90s was an important time for the development of muscle cars, and these cars from the era remain some of the most highly sought after today.
