Fortnite, the widely popular and highly successful game from EpicGames, has captivated the hearts and minds of many gamers. The game features a unique Battle Royale mode where players of all ages and abilities can compete against each other for victory. As part of the Battle Royale mode, there is a feature called the “Stealthy Stronghold.” In order to reach this area and capture a point, players must locate and take down an enemy named the “Anomaly” located somewhere in the stronghold.
The Anomaly is a unique enemy type in Fortnite that moves in a stealthy and unpredictable fashion and is cloaked in a shimmering, light-blue hue. Initially, the Anomaly was guarded by “Henchmen”, smaller enemies that are much easier to dispatch than the Anomaly itself. However, in 2020, the henchmen have been removed from the game in order to make the Anomaly more of a challenge to take down.
The Anomaly can be found at the far corner of the Stealthy Stronghold, right next to the river. Once the Anomaly is spotted, it instantly moves away and attempts to evade the players. When confronted, it will rush away and reset itself in a new location, possibly somewhere else in the stronghold. This can be very difficult to deal with, as it requires players to track it down and corner it.
The Anomaly will always be shielded from attack and requires powerful weapons to take it down. Additionally, players must frequently dodge the projected attack blasts and energy beams, which can be very difficult. If the player is successful and the Anomaly is destroyed, the Victory Royale screen will be revealed, denoting a successful capture of the point at the Stealthy Stronghold.
If players find the Anomaly to be too much of a challenge and opt to leave it alone, then they can still achieve victory without having to physically engage it. This can be done by capturing all the remaining points around the stronghold and scoring the most points, thus securing the Victory Royale.
The Anomaly is one of the unique aspects of Fortnite and the Stealthy Stronghold. More experienced players can take on the challenge of the Anomaly and use its predicted movements to their advantage in order to outmaneuver and ultimately defeat it. Others may choose to avoid it altogether and secure Victory Royale through other means. Either way, the Anomaly is guaranteed to bring an interesting twist to the Stealthy Stronghold.
