Where to find table coral in Subnautica below zero?

Table coral is one of the most interesting and beautiful creatures to be found in Subnautica Below Zero. One of the most popular aquatic decorations, this coral boasts a stunning color palette, consisting of blues, yellows, purples, and more. However, table coral can be difficult to find in this game, so this guide will explain where to look if you want to find some.

Table coral is a type of photosynthetic coral, meaning it obtains some of its nutrition from the sun. As such, it prefers to live in shallow waters near the surface. It can be found in both the Arctic Spires, located in the north of Subnautica Below Zero, and the Aurora Basin, found in the east. The two regions provide the perfect environment, as the temperatures are high enough to keep the coral healthy and photosynthesis can take place.

Table coral also thrives in areas with lots of coastal clutter and crevices, as these provide places for the coral to hide from predators. Its preferred hiding spots are usually among rocks, crags, and-if you're lucky-in shipwrecks. The good news is that there are plenty of these in both the Arctic Spires and the Aurora Basin. All you need to do is look around and you should find some.

Another great place to find table coral is in the Thermal Vents located in the Arctic Spires. These vents contain hot, mineral-rich water, which nourishes the coral. You might also find some in the Lusca's Tooth Cavern, which is located in the Frozen Forest, just south of the Aurora Archipelago. Here, the warm water from the vents creates a warm pocket that is perfect for sustaining table coral.

Table coral is also known to inhabit deeper waters, although it’s rare. You can find it around the Peeper Cavern and Deepcentral in the Aurora Basin. It doesn't take kindly to the cold, so you shouldn't dive too far down in the quest of this coral.

Finally, you might also find table coral in the Jade Caverns in the Arctic Spires. Here the coral can be seen growing in the shallow crevices that leak warm water. Even if you don’t find any in the dark waters, the crevices are still home to other interesting species, like tooth crabs and mushroom stalks.

If you want to go in search of table coral in Subnautica Below Zero, the best places to look are the Arctic Spires, Aurora Basin, Thermal Vents, Lusca's Tooth Cavern, Jade Caverns, Peeper Cavern and Deepcentral. With a bit of exploration and patience, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t stumble across some of these stunning creatures. Check out these areas and see what you can find!
