What does RST stand for Chevy?

RST stands for Rally Sport Truck, and it is the official name of a performance package offered on the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck since the 2019 model year. The RST package is available on the Silverado 1500 and 2500, as well as the latest generation of the Chevrolet Colorado mid-size pickup.

The RST package improves the Silverado and Colorado’s performance by providing customers with a more powerful engine, more capability, and safer handling. Increased performance comes courtesy of a 6.2L V8 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission that delivers better acceleration and an increased towing capacity of up to 9,300 lbs.

In addition to a beefier engine, the RST package provides customers with an off-road suspension system, larger off-road wheels with all-terrain tires, and specific exterior features, including a black grille with gloss-black accenting, body-color bumpers, black mirror caps and bowtie emblems, and body-side graphics.

The performance package also provides improved safety features, including low-speed automatic emergency braking and automatic lane-keeping assist. Additionally, the RST package also comes with innovative tech features, such as the 8-inch MyLink infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

For drivers who want to boost the performance of their Silverado or Colorado, the RST package provides the perfect solution. The package gives customers access to a more powerful engine, stronger off-road capabilities, improved safety features, and tech features to make life easier. The RST package is available on the 2019-2021 Chevy Silverado, as well as the 2017-2021 Chevy Colorado, lineup. It is an attractive option for drivers who want to get more out of their pickup truck.
