Paula Deen tea cakes recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup buttermilk
Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 3 (8-inch) round cake pans.

2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until incorporated. Beat in the vanilla extract.

3. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk and beating until smooth.

4. Divide the batter evenly among the three prepared cake pans. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cakes comes out clean.

5. Let cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely. Frost with desired frosting and decorate as desired. Enjoy!
